Meet the Photographer
C. Scott Stephens
I’ve spent much of my life telling stories—first through publishing, and increasingly through the camera.
As Editor-in-Chief of Pines & River Magazine, I’ve had the privilege of documenting the people, places and character of the region I call home. My photography has also appeared in publications across the United States and internationally.
But portraiture became something more personal. I became increasingly interested not simply in making a good photograph, but in creating the kind of portrait that becomes part of a family’s home—the photograph children grow up seeing on the wall, that parents keep long after fashions change, and that means more with every passing year.
That is what C. Scott Stephens Photography is built around.
I work from Florida’s Chipola River Valley and accept commissions throughout Northwest Florida and the Southeast. Every portrait is created intentionally, individually, and with the finished artwork in mind from the beginning.

Portrait commissions begin at $395. Finished photographic artwork is selected separately following your portrait experience.
Most portrait clients invest approximately $1,000–$2,500+ in their complete portrait experience and finished artwork.
Digital files are not sold as a standalone portrait product. A finished digital image for personal use accompanies the corresponding photograph when purchased as qualifying finished artwork.
